Use of Culture-Specific Items and their Translation from Lithuanian into English and French in Ričardas Gavelis’s <i>Vilnius Poker</i>

Summary From the beginnings of translation studies to present day, theoretical and practical paradigm has come a long way. Although it was closely associated with linguistics solution linguistic problems until early 1980s, first theories that drew attention cultural phenomena texts challenges translation.
